What are cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies?

To help you better understand the rules and use of such technologies, here are some terms along with their definitions:

Cookies:

• Third-party cookies: Originating from advertisements on other sites, such as pop-ups or banner ads, present on the website being viewed. They can be used to track the use of the website for marketing purposes.

Cookies can be disabled or removed using the tools available in most browsers. Cookie preferences must be set separately for each browser used, as each offers specific functionalities and options.
